Emil Kowalski Skills
44k13 skills that teach your agent taste in interfaces: the right easing curves, durations and transform origins, a strict motion review, and the small details that make a web app feel native. From the author of the Sonner toasts, MIT.
We have not run it ourselves: described from the docs and the repository.

What it is
An agent writes an animation that works but feels slightly off: the dropdown comes in with ease-in, grows out of its centre instead of from the button, and drags on for half a second. Emil Kowalski Skills is a set of 13 skills in which a design engineer who worked at Vercel and Linear wrote down mistakes like these and the rules that prevent them. Some skills build an animation from scratch, others review and audit what is already there, and the rest tell you the name of an effect or pick a library for the job.
What sets it apart from "make it pretty" collections is that the rules are specific and checkable: which properties are safe to animate, how much time a UI element gets, and when an animation is better removed altogether. It is useful if you build interfaces with Claude Code or Cursor without a dedicated motion designer and don't want your product to look like yet another generated page.
How it works
npx skills@latest add emilkowalski/skills installs the whole set; the --skill apple-design flag picks a single skill.review-animations checks motion against 10 mandatory standards; improve-animations and find-animation-opportunities only read the code and write a plan of changes.Know before installing
review-animations, prototype and pick-ui-library don't trigger on their own; you have to call them explicitly.write-swift and ask-sonner have nothing to do with web animation.
