AI Job Search

49k

An open project that turns Claude Code into a job-search assistant: tell it about yourself once, and for every vacancy you get a tailored CV and cover letter as PDFs, reviewed by a second agent.

We have not run it ourselves: described from the docs and the repository.

What it is

Most people send the same CV everywhere and only write a cover letter for the jobs they really want. AI Job Search takes that chore away. It is a folder of instructions for Claude Code: the /setup command builds your profile from your documents or an interview, and /apply takes a vacancy link or text, rates how well you fit, and writes a CV and cover letter for that specific role.

Two things set it apart from asking a chatbot to "rewrite my CV". A second agent with a clean memory reads the draft, researches the company and critiques it, and the first agent fixes what it found. And the assistant does not embellish: every claim is checked against your profile, and a skill you don't have stays an honest gap instead of a line added to get past a filter.

How it works

/setup
Builds your profile: reads the documents/ folder (CV, LinkedIn export, diplomas), takes a single pasted CV, or runs an interview.
/scrape + /rank
Searches job sites for vacancies and, when there are many, rates them in a batch and returns a shortlist with the strengths and gaps for each.
/apply
Scores the fit across five dimensions, writes the CV and cover letter, hands them to a critic agent, revises, and builds the PDFs with LaTeX.
/interview
Prepares you for the interview based on the exact CV and letter the interviewer read, and can run a mock interview.
install
You need Claude Code, Python 3.10+, Bun for job search and LaTeX for the PDFs; python3 tools/install_portal_clis.py installs the search tools.

Know before installing

Claude Code has no free tier: you need a Pro, Max or Team subscription, or API credits.
The built-in search targets Danish job sites. Elsewhere you work from the vacancy text, LinkedIn, or your own site via /add-portal.
A GitHub fork is always public, and the profile holds personal data. For your own search, use a private repository or simply a folder on your computer.
