CLI-Anything
55kTurns an ordinary program like GIMP, Blender or LibreOffice into a set of commands an AI agent can use on its own, without screenshots or clicks. There is a catalogue of ready-made ones, and you can build your own with one command in Claude Code. Apache-2.0.
We have not run it ourselves: described from the docs and the repository.

What it is
Agents like Claude Code are confident with files and the terminal, but they get lost when the task lives in a program with windows and buttons: batch-editing fifty images in GIMP, assembling a document in LibreOffice, rendering a scene in Blender. The usual workaround is an agent that looks at the screen and clicks the mouse, which is slow and breaks whenever a window shifts. CLI-Anything takes another route: it writes a set of text commands for the program that answer the agent in a form it understands, while the real work (rendering, exporting to PDF) is still done by the program itself.
What sets it apart from browser-use and Playwright MCP, its neighbours in this catalogue, is what the agent works with: there it is the browser and websites, here it is the programs on your computer. Ready-made command sets for GIMP, Blender, Inkscape, Audacity, LibreOffice, OBS Studio and dozens of others sit in the CLI-Hub catalogue and install with one command. If the program you need is missing, the Claude Code plugin studies its source code and builds such a set itself, with tests and instructions for the agent.
How it works
pip install cli-anything-hub, then cli-hub search, cli-hub install and cli-hub launch. The program itself (GIMP, Blender) has to be installed separately./plugin marketplace add HKUDS/CLI-Anything, then /plugin install cli-anything. There are versions for Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Pi and other agents./cli-anything:refine then adds whatever was missing.cli-hub-meta-skill meta-skill lets the agent find and install the right CLI for a task by itself.
